easyJet was one of the first airlines to embrace the opportunity of the internet when it sold its first seat online in April 1998. Today, 37 million passengers travel annually with the low cost carrier and approximately 98% of all its seats are sold online making easyJet one of the biggest European airlines and internet retailers. As an early adopter of internet technologies easyJet has always been at the forefront of innovation and so when it came to choosing an integrated document management, content management and workflow system, SharePoint 2007 was a natural choice.
easyJet has an industry leading installation of MOSS 2007, implementing it across a host of line of business applications as well as underpinning the company’s corporate document and content management requirements. But servicing 6000 staff across 7 countries and many different functional areas did prove to be an administrative burden.
